About TGA / 關於聯盟
The Taiwan GlycoForum was established in 2011 as an informal association of Taiwan investigators engaged in glycoscience research. We did not have a formal membership but maintained a mailing list of over 60 PIs for glyco-related information dissemination. From 2011–2019, the major events were the Glyco-Retreats, an annual 1.5 day meeting held typically held in Northern Taiwan. For some of this time, this meeting ran in parallel with the MoST Glycoscience Research Program, which offered glycoscience related research grants, technical core supports, seminars, courses, workshops and an annual Symposium in the period 2013–18. The COVID-19 pandemic prevented face-to-face meetings until May 2022.
At the 2022 Glyco-Retreat, we agreed to establish a more formal association, named the Taiwan Glycoscience Alliance (TGA) that will be based on free membership. We will need your enthusiastic support to make the TGA a success. Under the new umbrella, we will carry on with our regular annual events including the retreats and more in person and web-based seminars. It will be our primary way to get connected.
We urge you to take a few minutes to sign-up for TGA, which will keep you updated on glycoscience activities in Taiwan. The sign-up membership is open to all your lab members, including students if they have strong interest and are likely to stay in the glycosciences field for some time. You are encouraged to pass on the info to them and your colleagues who you think may be interested to join but not currently on our list. You can register your name here:
